Gang Task Force Arrests Gang Members with Firearms During Search Warrant Services
On Thursday, May 18, 2023, at 6:00 a.m. the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force with the assistance of Riverside County Sheriff’s Office Special Enforcement Bureau, United States Border Patrol Tactical Unit (BORTAC), Riverside County Gang Task Force Region 3, Region 4 and Region 7, Riverside County Sheriff’s Thermal Station Special Investigations Unit, La Quinta Special Enforcement Team, California Highway Patrol K9 Team and Riverside County PACT, served search warrants at three residences in the eastern Coachella Valley.
Robbery at Local Business Leads to Pursuit
On Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at 8:30 p.m., deputies from the Riverside Sheriff’s Moreno Valley Station responded to a robbery at a business in the 12700 Block of Moreno Beach Boulevard in the City of Moreno Valley.

The victim in this homicide investigation has been identified as Jeremy M. Abshear, 48-year-old resident of North Palm Springs. Investigators have identified and arrested two suspects in connection with this homicide investigation.

On August 21, 2022, about 8:57 a.m., personnel from the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station responded to a call of an unresponsive female juvenile in the 15000 block of Via Quedo in the unincorporated area of Desert Hot Springs.

On Sunday, May 14, 2023, at 9:22 a.m., deputies assigned to the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to a residence located in the 26000 block of Prairie Dog Lane, Moreno Valley, regarding a residential burglary.
