Suspects Arrested for Multiple Counts of Vandalism
On Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at 5:18 AM, deputies from the Palm Desert Station responded to a report of a shooting at a business. Deputies located a vehicle leaving the area at a high rate of speed and an enforcement stop was conducted.
In-Custody Death Investigation
On Sunday, November 20, 2022, at 3:37 PM, deputies assigned to the Robert Presley Detention Center, located in the 4000 block of Orange Street in Riverside, were called to the cell of an unresponsive female inmate.
Double Homicide
This investigation was determined to be a case of domestic violence, occurring shortly after child custody exchange of two twin seven year old boys. The victims in this case were identified as Esmeralda Casillas, 36 years of El Cajon (mother of the twins), and Esmeralda’s mother, Ofelia Casillas, 68 years of El Cajon.
