Felon in Possession of a Firearm – October 9, 2020

On Friday, October 9, 2020, at 9:48 P.M., members of the Moreno Valley Station’s Special Enforcement Team conducted an occupied vehicle check in the 23000 block of Sunnymead Boulevard, in the city of Moreno Valley. Deputies contacted Justin Kroeplin-Greer, a 23-year-old resident of Moreno Valley. Deputies determined Kroeplin-Greer was on probation for vehicle theft. A subsequent search of Kroeplin-Greer’s vehicle revealed a 12-gauge shotgun, ammunition, and several grams of Methamphetamine.

Fraud and Embezzlement Investigation and Arrest

On October 6, 2020, about 10:00 a.m., investigators and deputies assigned to the Southwest Station served a search warrant at a residence on the 600 block of Acacia St. in Lake Elsinore in relation to a check fraud and embezzlement investigation. Several evidence items were seized at the location. Nicole Begley was arrested at the residence for grand theft and embezzlement.

Illegal Marijuana Cultivation – October 5, 2020

On Monday October 5, 2020, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department’s Marijuana Enforcement Team (MET) directed an operation targeting outdoor illegal marijuana cultivations in the unincorporated area of Anza. The operation was supported by members from California Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Texas officer charged with murder in fatal store shooting

A white police officer has been charged with murder in the fatal shooting of a Black man following a reported disturbance at a convenience store in a small East Texas town, authorities said.

Fraud Investigation Arrest Warrant Service

On Monday, October 5, 2020, investigators from the Palm Desert Station in conjunction with the Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement team conducted an arrest warrant service in the 81000 block of Iris Court, Indio. The arrest warrant was a result of a lengthy-ongoing fraud investigation, which occurred in the city of Rancho Mirage.
