On Saturday, November 4, 2023, deputies from the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility responded to an unresponsive male in the intake area. Custody staff and jail medical personnel immediately administered life-saving measures.
Assault With a Deadly Weapon on a Peace Officer
On Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 9:27 a.m., a deputy assigned to the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station attempted a traffic enforcement stop of a black Nissan Altima, which was speeding on Perris Boulevard.
Organized Retail Theft
On Thursday, November 2, 2023, about 8:04 p.m., deputies assigned to the Sheriff’s Lake Elsinore Station's Special Enforcement Team and the Robbery Burglary Suppression Team responded to a reported grand theft at a local retail store.
Convicted Felon Arrested for Manufacturing Firearms
In October 2023, members of the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force received an anonymous tip of a convicted felon manufacturing firearms. Task Force members assumed the investigation and were able to identify a prior convicted felon, Eric Ahrens, a 36-year-old resident of Desert Hot Springs, as the individual manufacturing firearms.
Annoy Molest a Child
On Thursday, November 2, 2023, at 8:52 a.m., Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to an annoy and molest incident occurring in the 25000 Block of John F. Kennedy Drive in the city of Moreno Valley.
