Jewelry Store Robbery Suspects Arrested
On November 8, 2023, members of the Riverside Sheriff’s Office served search warrants at the 600 block of West 8th Street, San Bernardino, and the 9700 block of Budlong Avenue, Los Angeles. During the search warrant service, two suspects were identified and arrested. Destiny Baca, an 18-year-old resident of San Bernardino, and Analea Miller, a 24-year-old resident of Los Angeles, were arrested for robbery and booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside.
Suspect Arrested for Theft of Golf Clubs
On October 28, 2023, deputies from the Thermal Sheriff’s Station responded to a theft that occurred within the 81000 block of Contento Street, La Quinta in which several high value golf clubs and equipment were stolen from a vehicle. Once the report was taken, the La Quinta Special Enforcement Team assumed the investigation.
In-Custody Death
On Saturday, November 4, 2023, deputies from the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility responded to an unresponsive male in the intake area. Custody staff and jail medical personnel immediately administered life-saving measures.
Assault With a Deadly Weapon on a Peace Officer
On Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 9:27 a.m., a deputy assigned to the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station attempted a traffic enforcement stop of a black Nissan Altima, which was speeding on Perris Boulevard.
Organized Retail Theft
On Thursday, November 2, 2023, about 8:04 p.m., deputies assigned to the Sheriff’s Lake Elsinore Station's Special Enforcement Team and the Robbery Burglary Suppression Team responded to a reported grand theft at a local retail store.
