County extends pet adoption special through Dec. 4

Riverside County Animal Services is extending one of its most popular adoption specials until Dec. 4. The Black Saturday Special gives would-be adopters the chance to find their perfect pet for free all week – the first time Animal Services has offered the post-Thanksgiving promotion for a full week. Participating shelters include the Coachella Valley Animal Campus in Thousand Palms and the Western Riverside County/City Animal Shelter in Jurupa Valley.

Staples Center is getting a new name. Starting Christmas Day, it will be Crypto.com Arena. The downtown Los Angeles home of the NBA’s Lakers and Clippers, the NHL’s Kings and the WNBA’s Sparks will change its name after 22 years of operation, arena owner AEG announced Tuesday night.
