There was once a pastor who visited a church member whom he had not seen in church for quite a long time. The pastor was invited into the man’s home and, being cold outside, the two of them sat in front of the man’s blazing fireplace for a while. After a bit, the pastor got up and picked out a hot coal from the fire and sat it aside on the fireplace hearth.

Then something was said that caught my attention— Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch was being interviewed — during the interview Gorsuch revealed that when he taught an ethics class at the University of Colorado he had his students write their own obituaries. Both a scary and novel undertaking for sure!

California pastor who was at Rose Garden event has COVID-19

The head of a Southern California megachurch said Monday he has tested positive for COVID-19, joining a list that includes President Donald Trump and key White House contacts who attended a ceremony at the White House Rose Garden last month.
