The film community is mourning the loss of E. Gunnar Mortensen, camera assistant on Sons of Anarchy, Transparent, 90210, The Defenders, and The Morning Show who died on July 4th, 2022 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident at age 39.

Americans filing jobless claims at highest level in 8 months

The number of Americans applying for unemployment benefits last week rose to the highest level in more than eight months in what may be a sign that the labor market is weakening.

Critical Incident Training

Authorized members of the media are invited to film portions of the training this Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Palm Desert Charter Middle School, located at 74200 Rutledge Way in Palm Desert.  While the training is going on for several hours, the media will have access from 8:45am-10:00am.

More Americans applied for unemployment benefits last week and while layoffs remain low, it was the fifth consecutive week that claims topped the 230,000 mark and the most in almost six months.
