On November 5, 2021, at 10:00 pm deputies from the Moreno Valley Station responded to Elm Avenue and Clover Court to investigate multiple reports of gunfire heard in the area. When deputies arrived, they located an adult male, later identified as, Haitham Arranaga, a 20 year-old from Perris. Deputies attempted life saving measures but Arranaga died from his injuries at the scene. Investigators from the Central Homicide Unit and the Moreno Valley Station were notified and have assumed the investigation. The suspect(s) fled the area prior to deputies arrival and are currently outstanding.
