Details:

On August 8, 2022, at about 2:10 p.m., deputies assigned to the Perris Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to a report of a victim of a shooting in the 24300 block of Gunther Ln., Romoland. Upon arrival, deputies found a male victim on the property suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency medical personnel arrived and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. The area was secured as a crime scene and station investigators responded to begin the investigation. The Central Homicide Unit also responded and assumed the investigation.

The victim was identified as Darryl Williams, a 57-year-old resident of Romoland. The investigation is currently on-going and no further information will be released at this time.
