The suspects in the murder of George Torres have been identified as 23-year-old Edgar Ortega-Sanchez and 18-year-old Bryan Ortega. The suspects are brothers and residents of Perris. They have been arrested and booked into custody. The case has been submitted to the Riverside County District Attorney’s office, and murder charges have been filed.

On Friday, November 26, 2021, at 1:51 AM, deputies responded to a business in the 4000 block of N. Perris Boulevard in Perris for a report of an assault with a deadly weapon. Deputies arrived within minutes and located an unconscious adult male with traumatic injuries. Despite life-saving efforts by deputies and medical personnel, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim has been identified as 25-year-old George Torres from Moreno Valley.


Investigators from the Perris Station and Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation. The investigation is ongoing, and currently, there are no additional details available for release.
