In September 2020, deputies assigned to the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station Problem Oriented Policing Team, received information regarding illegal narcotic sales and possession of stolen property occurring in Temescal Valley.
On September 22, 2020, deputies responded to the 8600 block of Bedford Motor Way, and located a stolen vehicle parked in front of the residence. The homeowner, Richard Scott Roberts (age 57), was contacted at the residence. While speaking with Roberts deputies could see in plain view a large amount of methamphetamine on a table. A search warrant was authored. During the service of the search warrant deputies located approximately 400 grams of methamphetamine, 3 grams of heroin, one stolen firearm, one stolen vehicle, $2,500 in U.S. currency and other indicia of narcotic sales.
Richard Scott Roberts was taken into custody and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center for sales of narcotics and possession of stolen property.
