Robbery Suspect Apprehended

On August 30, 2022, at about 9:30 pm, Deputies from the Palm Desert Station responded to a report of an attempted carjacking and robbery that took place near the 77000 block of Michigan Drive, Palm Desert. During the investigation, deputies identified the suspect as Linnell Wilson, a 19-year-old resident of Palm Desert, and located him at his residence.

A search warrant was granted for Wilson’s residence. During the service of the search warrant, property belonging to the victim was located inside Wilson’s home.

On August 31, 2022, at about 2:30 am, Wilson was arrested for attempted carjacking, strong arm robbery, child endangerment, and criminal threats. Wilson was booked into custody at the John Benoit Detention Center.
