On February 17, 2021, deputies assigned to the Lake Elsinore Station Special Enforcement Team served a search warrant in the 17300 block of Baker Street, in the city of Lake Elsinore, reference a narcotics investigation.

During the service of the search warrant a large quantity of methamphetamine and a loaded firearm were located, in addition to other items of indicia of narcotics sales. Leonard Lee Cantley (62 years of age) a resident of the city of Lake Elsinore, was arrested.

Cantley was transported to Cois Byrd Detention Center and booked on the charges of possession of narcotics for sales, and armed while in possession of narcotics.
