(Search Warrant)
During the month of June 2020, deputies assigned to the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station County Problem Oriented Policing Team assisted patrol on an assault with a deadly weapon call for service. Upon arrival deputies discovered the suspects had forced entry into a residence and assaulted the victim with a baseball bat. During the investigation the suspects were positively identified as Lorenzo Guerrero (24 years old) and David Guerrero (23 years old) both residents of the city of Lake Elsinore.
On July 2, 2020, at the direction of Sheriff Chad Bianco, deputies served two search warrants, one in the 32000 block of Cherrywood Lane, the other in the 500 block of W. Lakeshore Drive. During the search warrants illegal firearms, ammunition, and gang indicia were located and seized. Lorenzo Guerrero was located at the Cherrywood Lane residence and was arrested. David Guerrero was located at the W. Lakeshore residence and was arrested. Lorenzo Guerrero was transported to the Cois Byrd Detention Center and booked into custody on the charge of assault with a deadly weapon, burglary, possession of an assault weapon, conspiracy, criminal threats, possession of narcotics and vandalism. David Guerrero was transported to the Cois Byrd Detention Center and booked into custody on the charge of assault with a deadly weapon, burglary, conspiracy, criminal threats and vandalism. Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Gang Task Force Team Southwest region 4 responded to assist with the investigation and will complete a gang enhancement on both Lorenzo Guerrero and David Guerrero.
