Search Warrant / Weapons Arrest

On January 19, 2021, at 7:00 A.M., deputies assigned to the Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT), with the assistance of the La Quinta Special Enforcement Team (SET) and the Southern Coachella Valley Community Service District Team (SCVCSDT), served a search warrant at a residence in the 84-500 block of Calle Gregorio in the city of Coachella. The search warrant stemmed from a weapons investigation CCAT was conducting. During the search warrant service, a rifle along with multiple loaded magazines were located and seized. Documented gang member and convicted felon Rey Delgado, 30 of Coachella, was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition. Delgado was booked at the John Benoit Detention Center in the city of Indio.
