Details:
On January 28, 2021, at 9:08 PM, Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force Officers from Region 2 conducted a traffic stop on a U-Haul box van in the 600 block of American Avenue in the City of Beaumont. A record check of the U-Haul’s license plate confirmed the U-Haul was a reported stolen vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Demetrius Williams, a thirty-five-year-old resident of Long Beach. Williams was placed under arrest for being in possession of a stolen vehicle. There was a passenger in the U-Haul, identified as Tury Alvarado, a forty-six-year-old resident of Beaumont, who was also placed under arrest for possession of narcotics.
A search of the U-Haul was conducted, and Gang Task Force Officers located several thousands of dollars of counterfeit one hundred-dollar bills. Gang Task Force Officers also located scanners, cleaning agents, stolen checks, and stolen mail.

The Riverside County Gang Task Force is a collaborative effort of several law enforcement agencies with the goal of combating criminal street gangs. The San Gorgonio Special Operations Regional Gang Task Force is one of six teams which compose the Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force. The San Gorgonio Special Operations Gang Task Force is staffed with members from the Banning Police Department, Beaumont Police Department and Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
