Police arrested a man they say shot and killed a 24-year-old Riverside woman during a suspected robbery earlier this week at a San Bernardino home, authorities said.

The shooting took place on Monday, Oct. 19, at a house in the 500 block of Magnolia Avenue, police said.

Officers found Mercey Marie Brasher at the home with multiple gunshot wounds. She later died at a hospital. A second victim was also hospitalized for a gunshot wound, but released the next day.

Investigators named David Gilbert Colvin, 29, of San Bernardino as they suspect in the shooting and arrested him on Tuesday, Oct. 20, San Bernardino police said Saturday when announcing the arrest.

Police did not say what led investigators to the suspect. Colvin was booked on suspicion of murder.
