On Thursday, October 28, 2021, at 12:15 P.M. the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force conducted an arrest warrant service in a residential area located in the 49000 block of Highway 74 in Palm Desert. Gang Task Force Officers located documented criminal street gang member Robert “Lil Rob” Cruz, 40 of Coachella, as he was delivering furniture to a residence for a local furniture store where he is employed as a delivery man.
On October 24, 2021, at 9:59 AM, deputies from the Colorado River Station responded to the 44000 block of Ragsdale Rd., in the unincorporated area of Riverside County, regarding a theft in progress. Property owners reported seeing several male subjects stealing catalytic converters and other vehicle parts from the location.
On Friday, October 22, 2021, at 12:00 P.M. the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force conducted a probation check at a residence located in the 31000 block of Las Flores Way in Thousand Palms. During the probation check Gang Task Force Officers located two 9mm semi-auto handguns, ammunition, suspected methamphetamine and military issued body armor.
On Friday, October 15, 2021, the La Quinta Special Enforcement Team (SET) served a property related search warrant at the 46200 block of Arabia Street, in Indio. The search warrant stemmed from multiple burglary incidents that were reported on October 12, 2021.
On October 14, 2021, at 3:20 P.M., the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force (CVVCGTF), with the assistance of the Coachella Community Action Team, served a search warrant at a residence located in the 81-800 block of Sirocco Avenue in the city of Indio. During the service of the search warrant, Gang Task Force Officers located a loaded firearm, ammunition, and recovered a stolen off-road vehicle.
