Burglary Arrest

On December 10, 2020, La Quinta Special Enforcement Team deputies conducted a follow-up investigation that stemmed from a burglary occurred at a storage facility located on the 46000 block of Adams Street, in La Quinta. Deputies confirmed at least three additional burglaries occurred at the same location.

Carjacking Arrests

On December 11, 2020, at 1:30 P.M., deputies assigned to the Southern Coachella Valley Community Service District Team (SCVCSDT) served a search warrant with the assistance of the Coachella Community Action team (CCAT) at a residence in the 46000 block of Dune Palms in the city of La Quinta.

Illegal Marijuana Cultivation and Electrical Theft

On Thursday, December 10, 2020, personnel from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department served a narcotic related search warrant in the 2800 block of Hartley Parkway, in the City of San Jacinto. During the service of the search warrant it was discovered the residence had been converted into an illegal marijuana cultivation operation.

Fatal Traffic Collision

On Thursday, December 10, 2020, about 9:40 PM, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Jurupa Valley Station, were dispatched to a report of a single vehicle traffic collision, located at San Sevaine Way and Wabash Drive. Upon arrival, deputies located a male adult with major injuries inside a compact vehicle, which had collided against a tree. He was determined to be the sole occupant and was pronounced deceased at the scene. At this time, it is unknown if alcohol or drugs were factor in the collision.

Violation of Domestic Violence Restraining Order

On Wednesday, December 9, 2020, deputies from the San Jacinto Sheriff Station responded to 1800 block of Browning Court, in the City of San Jacinto regarding a domestic disturbance. Deputies arrived and a male subject, identified as Chance Morris (33 years old resident of San Jacinto), was located near a residence.
