City of San Jacinto, Calif. – The Riverside County San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station made one arrest for driving under the influence while conducting a Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and Driver’s License checkpoint. The checkpoint was on Esplanade Avenue, just west of Freedom Way between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m.

City of Temecula, Calif. – The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department/Southwest Station will hold a Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and Driver’s License Checkpoint on Friday, August 28, from 8:00 pm to 1:30 am at an undisclosed location within city limits.

A conviction for driving under the influence or DUI carries several penalties in all states and Washington. D.C. On top of hefty fines, possible jail time, suspension of driving privileges, and probation, DUI offenders are often required to attend alcohol education classes, commonly referred to as DUI school.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department/Norco Station will hold a Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and Driver’s License Checkpoint on Friday, August 14, from 8:00 pm to 2:00 am at an undisclosed location within the city limits. Checkpoint locations are chosen based on a history of DUI crashes and arrests. The primary purpose of checkpoints is not to make arrests, but to promote public safety by deterring drivers from driving impaired.
