On February 6, 2022, around 6:55 P.M., deputies assigned to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Lake Elsinore Station, responded to a major injury traffic collision on Grand Ave. and McVicker Canyon Park Road, in Lake Elsinore.

A San Jacinto man was fatally injured in an off-highway vehicle crash Saturday (January 29) near the King of the Hammers area. According to a CHP press release, on January 29, shortly before 3 p.m., Christian Karnes, 27 of San Jacinto, was driving a black and red 2022 Polaris Razor westbound up a steep sand dune with a passenger, identified as Maribel Gonzalez, 27 also of San Jacinto.

On January 28, 2022, about 8:51 PM, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Southwest Station, responded to the report of a major injury traffic collision near the intersection of Margarita Rd. and Moraga Rd. in the city of Temecula.

On January 28, 2022, around 10:33 P.M., deputies assigned to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Lake Elsinore Station, responded to a major injury traffic collision on Summerhill Dr. and Corte Seriui, in Lake Elsinore.

Prosecutors charged a man in California with two counts of vehicular manslaughter after he was using Tesla's autopilot system when he ran a red light in 2019 resulting in the death of two people.
