HHT CELEBRATES 100 YEARS!

Built in 1921, The Historic Hemet Theatre is one of the oldest movie houses in the country. Owned and operated by the Martin family, it was rumored to be the oldest continuously run single-screen movie house in the country until it closed in the mid-1980’s.

HHT PROGRAM DIRECTOR DIES AT AGE 72

With great sadness, the Historic Hemet Theatre has announced the death of Program Director Bryan Carrier. Bryan died peacefully in his home on Sunday October 18th. Bryan’s health had declined during the Covid-19 quarantine, steadily draining his strength.

HHT CONTINUES TO MOVE FORWARD DESPITE QUARANTINE

Since the COVID-19 quarantine began, the Historic Hemet Theatre has postponed a total of 17 concerts, including the entire Season Two of their popular Tribute Mania Concert Series. But behind the scene at Hemet’s performing arts center, progress is still moving forward with big plans for the future.

HHT ANNOUNCES NEW SERIES OF ONLINE CONCERTS

While the Historic Hemet Theatre waits for officials to permit the venue to reopen, HHT has announced a series of online concerts, featuring recordings of their live shows from the past few years.
