A 55-year-old motorist who allegedly struck and killed a woman trying to help an injured wild burro just north of Moreno Valley is due to be arraigned Tuesday on a second-degree murder charge.
Investigators from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department Central Homicide Unit have continued to investigate a homicide that occurred on December 23, 2020, in the city of Moreno Valley. The ongoing investigation revealed a suspect involved in the murder of 30-year-old Victor Guzman.
On Tuesday, January 11, 2022, about 9:09 A.M., deputies from the Cabazon Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of a suspect armed with a knife at a business in the 1000 block of Cherry Valley Boulevard in Calimesa. The suspect had already slashed the tires of two customers in the parking lot of the business before a deputy arrived on scene.
On January 9, 2022, at about 10:42 p.m., deputies from the Southwest Sheriff Station were dispatched to a report of shots fired at a restaurant in the 28600 block of Old Town Front St., Temecula. Upon arrival, deputies found three subjects suffering from gunshot wounds.
On Wednesday, December 1, 2021, about 7:14 P.M., deputies responded to a call for service regarding an alleged child molestation in the city of Norco. It was reported the victim attended Montessori School of Corona, which is a private elementary school, which is where the victim met the suspect, Allyson Berndsen, a 31-year-old resident of Norco.
