GUNS YES – WOMEN’S RIGHTS NO
With all the political turmoil these days, most of which is separating rather than uniting us, I have tried to listen and keep my mouth shut, but there are straws and there are last straws and my last straw is an opinion or two.
In 2021 to date there have been 30 school shootings in the United States, 22 since August 1st, 88 since 2018. The recent case at Oxford, Michigan High School left four dead and seven hospitalized. Blame is being waved around like flags on the Fourth of July. There’s plenty to go around, but the real issue is how freely we permit gun ownership without much, if any indoctrination as to their handling and use; the United States is the number one gun manufacturer in the world. Not only do we export them and provide our own military, but we also sell them carelessly to the civilian population. The NRA goof balls continuously quote the second amendment, blah, blah, blah.
Wrong Way Roy
I’m sure at one time or another we have all gotten turned around and headed out in the wrong direction. We were once with friends, en route to Death Valley, when the GPS system instructed us to turn into the desert for a shortcut. An hour later we were backtracking to find the real road again. That GPS definitely needed a brain check!
Beating the Mandates in Court
Thousands of people are challenging the vaccine mandates. For them the “get shot or get fired” ultimatum is a bridge too far. Southwest Airlines recently discovered that such pressure isn’t working when they had to cancel a lot of flights because they didn’t have staff. Locations with Lockdown Lefty Lunatics in charge are losing people. Over a thousand people a day are moving to the Free State of Florida where mandates are strongly discouraged. But federal courts are ruling in favor of mandates right and left. Why?
THE TRUTH ABOUT DRUGS
Red Ribbon Week opened with The Truth About Drugs Running Team running throughout the Golden Era Productions 525-acre campus on October 24th with red ribbon flying in the air, all as a part of the Mission Inn Race as a fund-raiser for the Mission Inn Foundation, in its 44th year. Due to the COVID pandemic, the Mission Inn offered the option to run the race “virtually.” Participants can run in their own location and log onto the Mission Inn Run website to register their times.
Muscle Cars & Roaring Lions
There’s an ultra mini expression which packs a big punch - it’s been around for quite a while, but many may not have a clue as to its origin - after all - it’s pretty novel and a tad bit scary. Hold onto your seat - here tis: “Run to the roar!” Pretty ear-catching! So - is this “running to the roar” the sound of a souped-up muscle car, or “running to the roar” of a mad crazy person, or “running to the roar” of a jet engine? Surprisingly, none of the above. It’s truly scarier than those - it’s running to the roar of a enormous lion!
