Public health may be US election loser as coronavirus surges

Regardless of the presidential election outcome, a vexing issue remains to be decided: Will the U.S. be able to tame a perilous pandemic that is surging as holidays, winter and other challenges approach?

It is so easy to get into the mindset of voting against someone or something. For many Americans, watching the shenanigans of Donald Trump, his demeaning of women, of veterans, his constant lying, his name calling, it is easy to make a choice to vote against Donald Trump. But let’s look at the other side of the coin. Here is a partial list of the things that you can vote for in this election.

However, this year would be different; the English settlers required serious help to cultivate their newly acquired land from the Powhatan Indians. Some historians would write it was a mutual agreement; however, the bloodshed of the natives and early settlers happened from the first arrival in 1607. The English settlers had learned of a slave ship carrying some 150 Africans to Portugal.

Biden faces challenges in quickly combating the pandemic

If Joe Biden wins next week's election, he says he'll immediately call Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation's top infectious-disease expert. He'll work with governors and local officials to institute a nationwide mask-wearing mandate and ask Congress to pass a sweeping spending bill by the end of January to address the coronavirus and its fallout.
