On Saturday, July 18, 2020, at approximately 9:10 A.M., deputies from the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station responded to assist Cal-fire and Southern California Edison with a power grid fire in the area of Enchanted Trails and Old Bridge in the city of San Jacinto.
Effective today, more businesses in Riverside County are now required to move their activities outdoors as part of statewide actions to slow the spread of coronavirus.
On June 30, 2020, at 11:08 PM, Thermal Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a reported alarm at a business within the 90400 block of Avenue 66 in Mecca. On arrival, deputies determined entry had been made to the business and a fire had been started within. CalFire responded and extinguished the flames. Thermal Station Investigator’s assumed the investigation and immediately began working the case.
On June 30, 2020 at 9:09 AM, Moreno Valley Station deputies were dispatched to the 24000 block of Alessandro Blvd., city of Moreno Valley, regarding a robbery. The victim, an employee at the recycling center, reported the suspect, a Black male adult wearing dark clothing, approached him, brandished a semi-automatic handgun and demanded money.
On Saturday, July 11, 2020, at approximately 9:00 PM, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Palm Desert Station, responded to a report of a traffic collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of Portola Avenue and Gerald Ford Drive, Palm Desert. Upon the deputy’s arrival they discovered a 51-year-old Hispanic male from Coachella had been ejected from his vehicle and suffered major injuries.
