The Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration announced it has awarded grants totaling nearly $5 million to 10 Tribes as part of the Tribal Broadband Connectivity Program. The Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians is one of three California Tribes that will benefit from this current grant.
After eight weeks of intense playing at various reservations, Inter Tribal Sports co-ed softball teams made their way to the Soboba Indian Reservation for the championship tournament on Saturday, May 13.
Noli Indian School on the Soboba Indian Reservation hosted its 16th annual Gathering of the People on Friday, April 7, the last day of school before spring break. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. there was bird singing, horseshoe games, raffles, dancing and lots of fun activities facilitated by members of the Associated Student Body.
The seven members of the Soboba Fire Explorers recently earned their certification for completing a 24-hour long Vehicle Extrication course, which included two 10-hour days of hands-on instruction. This is the second certification they have had the opportunity to earn since the inception of the program about a year ago.
