The Riverside County Sheriff Department’s Central Homicide Unit has been working toward developing leads on a homicide that occurred on February 21, 2020, in the unincorporated area of Indio. 42-year-old Vincent Aispuro died as a result of the assault.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department San Jacinto Station will be conducting a DUI / Driver’s License Checkpoint on Saturday, August 1, 2020, at an undisclosed location within the city limits between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m.

On Sunday, July 26, 2020, at approximately 10:23 PM, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Palm Desert Station, responded to a report of a major injury traffic collision involving a motorcycle in the area of Portola Ave. and Chaparral Dr., in Palm Desert.

On Saturday, July 25, 2020, personnel from the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station served five search warrants related to illegal indoor residential marijuana grows and marijuana sales. During the warrant service, a total of approximately 4600 plants were eradicated from these residences along with 40 pounds of processed marijuana.

Mr. Smith has left the City of Lake Elsinore. He is still being monitored by Riverside County Sheriff’s Department; however, his final destination has not been released at this time. We will continue to provide updates as they become available.
