On December 6, 2022, at 5:14 PM, deputies from the Moreno Valley Sheriff Station responded to a report of a shooting in the 14600 block of Cagney Court in Moreno Valley. Deputies arrived within minutes and located a male victim with gunshot wounds.
One Arrested in Fatal Hit-and-Run Traffic Collision
On Sunday, December 4, 2022, at 8:21 PM, deputies from the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of a major injury hit-and-run traffic collision at the intersection of State Street and Dillon Avenue in the city of San Jacinto.
Body of 7-year-old Texas girl found, FedEx driver arrested
A 7-year-old Texas girl has been found dead, two days after being reported missing, and a FedEx delivery driver arrested in her death, authorities said.

On December 3, 2022, at 2:30 PM, deputies from the Jurupa Valley Station responded to Prospect Avenue and Spring Street in Highgrove to investigate a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies determined the victim, later identified as Julio Ortega, a 52-year-old resident of Jurupa Valley, had been shot and died from his injuries.
Death Investigation
On Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 7:34 PM, deputies from the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to an unknown trouble call for service in the 23800 block of Elyce Court in the city of Moreno Valley. Upon the arrival of deputies, it was determined an adult male was deceased.
