With its official unveiling during Thanksgiving week, Soboba Casino Resort began sharing a special holiday treat with visitors. Along its unique Gingerbread Lane, guests are greeted at every turn with oversized cookie cutouts that boast fun facts about the centerpiece of the display: a 22-foot tall gingerbread house.

Congressman Raul Ruiz, M.D., Yvette Clarke (D-NY) and six other Members of Congress called on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to expand the E-Rate Program to bring broadband internet access to students and families who are taking online classes while their school districts are closed to in-person learning due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Riverside City College (RCC) and Bank of America announced recently a new $1 million jobs initiative partnership to help students of color successfully complete the education and training necessary to enter the workforce and embark on their path to success in Southern California.

The emphasis was on giving during the recent Soboba Drive-Thru Turkey Giveaways for families struggling with the ability to have a fulfilling Thanksgiving holiday. The Soboba Foundation and the Soboba Casino Resort partnered with the cities, local agencies and school districts of Hemet and San Jacinto to provide more than 2,000 meal boxes to some of its neediest residents.

The City of Hemet will host an online community workshop to discuss how the City should look and function under new design standards being prepared for multi-family housing and mixed-use developments.
