Where I grew up we were taught to respect the United States Supreme Court because that was the word of truth. Over the years I’ve watched the court hand down decisions that widened our scope of freedom. Stari decisis was something etched into marble.

SPECIAL NEEDS MEET SPECIAL STEEDS

T.H.E. CENTER in Hemet has for almost forty years been assisting special needs children. Founded by Theresa Wilhelm in 1984 T.H.E. CENTER has assisted thousands of young people, not just special needs but all kids. Their summer program, currently under the guiding hand of Becky Polk, continues to grow.

SOME THINGS THAT TRY ONE’S PATIENCE

We, as a country, have slipped into digression. The government didn't do that to us. We've done it to ourselves. How often have you heard someone say things that remind you of something your grandmother might have been saying back during the Great Depression? Not as often as we should. Because of our bad habits, we have some serious personal problems.

For Black Americans, lifesaving medical care too often leads to lifelong debt

Maurice Handy of Charlotte, North Carolina, was diagnosed with stage 4 medullary thyroid cancer. Following surgery, he needed chemotherapy for life. He had no insurance to cover treatment at an estimated cost of $10,000 monthly.
