When I heard the doorbell ring that Saturday afternoon, I did something I had never done before. I bought something from a door-to-door salesperson. It was a pest control representative who was canvassing the neighborhood for new business. The logo on his bright green golf shirt matched his truck in the driveway. He introduced himself and said, “I see you have a vole problem. Have you tried anything?”
Testing for the Coronavirus (COVID-19) has been in the news for several months now. The first reports of cases of what would become COVID-19 came on December 31, 2019. There are now over 15 million diagnosed cases worldwide, and the number of confirmed cases in the United States has surpassed 4 million.
Humans have five primary senses. They are touch, sight, hearing, smell, and taste. Have you ever imagined being without one of these senses? If you lost your sight, you wouldn't be able to enjoy any more sunsets. When you ventured out, you would feel a sense of insecurity, not able to see your surroundings. If you lost your hearing, you wouldn't be able to hear choirs sing or hear the birds sings or hear someone close by calling out for help.
Just like about every other fretful Democratic/liberal/progressive person in America, I’ll admit I’ve had a mild case of political PTSD leftover from 2016 (and from 2000 & 2004 for that matter). However, these days the national political opinion polls are truly glorious.
