RIVERSIDE, CA — A 49-year-old man who was booked into a Riverside County jail last week following his arrest on an outstanding warrant and alleged misdemeanor crimes was found dead Sunday in his cell.
An investigation into the death of Stephen Alan Frost of Riverside was continuing Monday, though the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said there were no signs of foul play.
Frost was being held in cell #80 on the fifth floor of the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside. When he was found unresponsive in his cell Sunday, jail medical personnel attempted life-saving measures, but the efforts were unsuccessful, according to the sheriff’s department.
The coroner will determine Frost’s manner and cause of death.
Frost was arrested at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, on Main Street in Riverside, according to jail records. He was booked on suspicion of public intoxication and obstruction of a first responder — both misdemeanors. Frost also had an outstanding out-of-county warrant. He was being held in custody without bail.
The principal of jail withoit bail is exactly like telling. Someone he is held for life it is so devastating to him that he wish to die he might actually die from sadness giving some one hope maybe finding some one to pay his bail or try so hard to get the victimized people to drop the charges against the one held will lead to a good society that do what Jesus said they forgive
