Suspect Identified in Series of Vehicle Burglaries

Details:

On December 10, 2023, Lake Mathews Station deputies responded to the Lake Hills area of Riverside County reference a series of vehicle burglaries. During the burglaries, numerous vehicles were broken in to resulting in the theft of various items. The Lake Mathews Special Enforcement Team assumed the investigation.

During the investigation, deputies identified a suspect involved in the thefts. On Friday, January 5, 2024, deputies located and arrested the suspect who was identified as 67-year-old Michael Salvati transient of Riverside County. Salvati was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on multiple counts of theft related charges. Additional theft cases are currently being investigated.
