Homicide – March 22, 2020

Investigators from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Central Homicide Unit have been working toward developing leads on a homicide that occurred on March 22, 2020, in the city of Moreno Valley. The decedent, 30-year-old Alaimaluloa Toki, died as a result of the assault. The investigation revealed that 30-year-old Asia Toki, the victim's wife, was responsible for the homicide.

Homicide – November 14, 2020

On November 14, 2020, at 2:05 a.m., deputies from the Jurupa Valley Sheriff Station responded to the area of La Sierra Ave. and Tin Mine Rd., Lake Matthews, regarding a report of an assault with a deadly weapon. Deputies arrived within minutes and located a deceased male suffering from a gunshot.

Explosion

On October 31, 2020, about 12:29 AM, deputies responded to the 70200 block of Highway 111, within the city of Rancho Mirage, reference an explosion. The Riverside County Hazardous Device Team along with the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) and the bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) responded to conduct the investigation.

Suspicious Death

The decedent has been positively identified as Thanh Phuoc Tran, 46 years old out of Hollywood, CA. This is an active investigation and no additional details are currently available. Fraud and Embezzlement Investigation and Arrest

On October 6, 2020, about 10:00 a.m., investigators and deputies assigned to the Southwest Station served a search warrant at a residence on the 600 block of Acacia St. in Lake Elsinore in relation to a check fraud and embezzlement investigation. Several evidence items were seized at the location. Nicole Begley was arrested at the residence for grand theft and embezzlement.
