Investigators from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department Central Homicide Unit have continued investigating a homicide that occurred on January 26, 2020, in the unincorporated area of Home Gardens. The ongoing investigation revealed a second suspect involved in the murder of 25-year-old Antonio Anaya.
On February 20, 2021 at 9:00 am, deputies from the Perris Sheriff’s Station responded to the area of Hansen Ave. and Nuevo Rd. in the unincorporated county area of Nuevo regarding a stolen vehicle investigation. Upon arrival, several subjects attempted to flee from the responding deputies. A perimeter was established and a total of ten subjects were located hiding on a large property at the end of Hansen Ave. All ten of the subjects were safely detained without incident.
The remains have been positively identified as Guillermo Jacobo, 21 years of age out of Thermal. On December 26, 2020, at about 4:01 a.m., deputies from the Lake Elsinore Station were dispatched to a report of a shooting at a residence in the 37000 block of Calle de Lobo, La Cresta. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with two uninjured male residents. They were directed inside where deputies found four males with gunshot wounds.
