Robbery Arrest – September 18, 2020

On September 18, 2020, at 5:05 PM, Moreno Valley Station deputies were dispatched to the 13000 block of Courage St. in the city of Moreno Valley regarding a robbery. The victim stated a male adult put a handgun to his head and forcefully removed property from his person and vehicle. After the victim complied with the suspect, the suspect fired two shots at the victim and his vehicle and fled the area in a light green BMW. Deputies canvassed the area but did not locate the suspect or suspect vehicle.

Homicide – Update / September 21, 2020

On September 21, 2020, at 1:00 p.m., the third suspect in this investigation, Joseph Goldsmith, turned himself in at the Moreno Valley Sheriff Station. Goldsmith was arrested for his outstanding warrant for Murder, and booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center.

Fatal Traffic Collision – September 21, 2020

On September 21, 2020, at 9:48 PM, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Eastvale Station, responded to a report of a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision on Limonite Avenue near Hamner Avenue. Caller reported a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian was transported to a local area hospital and later succumbed to her injuries.
