On August 30, 2022, at about 9:30 pm, Deputies from the Palm Desert Station responded to a report of an attempted carjacking and robbery that took place near the 77000 block of Michigan Drive, Palm Desert.

During the month of June and July, the Southwest Riverside County area experienced numerous burglaries that occurred at local wineries, golf courses, and businesses. Deputies and investigators from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Southwest Station, conducted an extensive investigation.
