String of Burglaries at Local Temecula Wineries and Golf Courses
During the month of June and July, the Southwest Riverside County area experienced numerous burglaries that occurred at local wineries, golf courses, and businesses. Deputies and investigators from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Southwest Station, conducted an extensive investigation.
Assault with a Deadly Weapon
On August 29, 2022, about 5:41 PM, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Colorado River Station responded to a stabbing at Chanslorway and Ehlers Blvd. in the unincorporated area of Blythe.
In-Custody Death Investigation
On August 16, 2022, deputies assigned to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department- Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility (SCF), located an adult male inside a housing unit in need of medical attention.
Homicide
On August 24, 2022, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Central Homicide Unit assumed a homicide investigation initially commenced by the Hemet Police Department on August 22, 2022.
Suspects Arrested in Multiple Retail Thefts from Several Jurisdictions
On August 24, 2022, deputies assigned to the city of Eastvale Special Enforcement Team and Jurupa Valley Special Enforcement Team served a search warrant at a residence located in the 900 block of Leonard Lane, San Jacinto.
