This week we sauntered out to the west side hinterlands to see what happened Friday night when Riverside County was reduced to Orange, giving the go-ahead for restaurants and bars to allow 50% occupancy. Riverside County to advance into state’s orange reopening tier Wednesday

The State of California announced that Riverside County will move into the orange tier of the state’s reopening framework Wednesday (April 7). The move is based on meeting a statewide goal to administer 4 million vaccines in disadvantaged communities, and the subsequent loosening of the case rate threshold to move into the orange tier.

California plans for broad pandemic reopening in mid-June

Gov. Gavin Newsom on Tuesday signaled an end to more than a year of closures in California, announcing that the nation's most populated state plans to lift most coronavirus restrictions on businesses and workplaces June 15, when enough people should be vaccinated to start returning to normal.
