Some SoCal stores seeing shortages of toilet paper again

In shades of the early days of the coronavirus pandemic, some supermarkets are reporting shortages of paper products and a surge in hoarding behavior by shoppers.

Riverside County Board of Education Appoints Dr. Edwin Gomez as Riverside County Superintendent of Schools

The Riverside County Board of Education appointed Dr. Edwin Gomez as the Riverside County Superintendent of Schools beginning on November 1. Dr. Gomez fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Dr. Judy D. White, who has served for 42 years in public education. Dr. Gomez will fulfill the remainder of her term ahead of the 2022 election.

San Jacinto will elect three city council members on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Phil Ayala, Brian E. Hawkins, Crystal Ruiz, Cynthia Stroffolino, and Russ Utz are running for the three council seats. Ruiz and Utz are current council members trying to win another term.

Now that state health officials announced strict new rules for reopening the parks, attractions spanning from Disneyland to Universal Studios are bracing for an even longer shutdown — and so are the surrounding communities lined with hotels, restaurants and shops that cater to visitors who no longer walk their streets.
