Firefighters Saturday knocked down a kitchen fire inside a three-bedroom apartment in Riverside. Firefighters were dispatched at 3:18 a.m. to 6060 Rutland Ave., the Riverside Fire Department reported.

Riverside County's coronavirus screenings have increased significantly, and with them a proportional rise in cases, though hospitalizations remain well below their summer peak, local health officials told the Board of Supervisors Tuesday.

Neil and guitarist Travis Daggert caused the stars to shine brighter and toe-tapping a retro form of keeping time.

The Soboba Fire Department recently added a new vehicle to its fleet, and it has already proven to be a perfect fit. Chief Glenn Patterson said he recognized the need for a patrol truck and once funding became available, he was able to start the search.
