Riverside County’s jobless rate drops for third consecutive month

The unemployment rate in Riverside County dropped for the third consecutive month amid gains in most economic sectors, but is still way above year-ago levels, state officials said.

SOBOBA GOLF TOURNAMENT SUPPORTS NONPROFITS

Having to delay the 8th annual Soboba Foundation & Soboba Casino Resort Charity Golf Tournament due to COVID-19 precautions did not hinder the excitement that was evident among the players at the Soboba Springs Golf Course. The event, originally scheduled for two days in April, was extended to three days from Aug. 30 through Sept. 1 in order to maintain social distancing for 30 four-member teams each day.

Hemet City Council Approves Resolutions to Bring Skate Park to City

At its September 8, 2020 meeting, the Hemet City Council approved two resolutions to bring a skate park to the community. In 2018, at the public’s request, the City Council approved a feasibility study to work directly with community members to understand their vision for the skate park. The City Council then approved an allocation of $68,500 to complete the community outreach process, finalize the skate plaza design scheme, and develop detailed construction drawings.
