VA announces state partnerships to provide voter registration assistance to Veterans

On National Voter Registration Day, the Department of Veterans Affairs announced partnerships with the states of Michigan, Kentucky and Pennsylvania to create a pilot voter registration program that provides voter registration information, materials and — if requested — assistance to Veterans, eligible dependents and caregivers at select VA facilities across the country.

VA releases report showing decrease in Veteran Suicides, names suicide prevention grantees and finalists

The Department of Veterans Affairs released the 2022 National Veteran Suicide Prevention Annual Report, which shows that Veteran suicides decreased in 2020 for the second year in a row, and that fewer Veterans died by suicide in 2020 than in any year since 2006. 

VA to Extend Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers eligibility for “legacy” Veterans and their family caregivers

Yesterday, the Department of Veterans Affairs submitted to the Federal Register an interim final rule that will extend Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers eligibility for certain Veterans and their family caregivers through Sept. 30, 2025.
