Mayor Pro Tem Carole Kendrick to Step Down from Hemet City Council

Date:

Hemet City Mayor Pro Tem Carole Kendrick has recently provided  notice that as of May 9th, she will no longer be a resident of the City of Hemet. She will therefore no longer be eligible to serve on the Hemet City Council.

Mrs. Kendrick was chosen to replace Karlee Meyer in 2023 after Mrs. Meyer passed away from cancer. In November of 2024, Mrs. Kendrick was easily elected by the voters to serve until 2028.

The Hemet City Council can choose to hold a special election to fill the vacancy or appoint a successor to serve until the next regularly scheduled election.

Mrs. Kendrick has told several people that she has taken a job in Northern California where her daughter lives as the reason she is leaving Hemet.
