Stolen vehicle recovery / Gang member arrested

On June 17th, 2020 around 9:51 AM, Thermal Station deputies assigned to the city of Coachella located a stolen U-Haul van in the desert area of Vista Del Norte, west of Dillon Road. Next to the stolen van was known gang member Aaron Reyes, 39 of Coachella. Reyes initially provided a false name; however, his identity was discovered through investigative means. Reyes was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and providing a false name to a Peace Officer. Deputies also made contact with Robert Cabrera, 29 of Coachella, Crystal Monzon, 26 of Coachella, and Nora Sanchez, 40 of Coachella. Cabrera had an outstanding felony arrest warrant for fraud while Sanchez and Monzon had outstanding arrest warrants for narcotic related charges. Both Cabrera and Reyes were booked at JBDC and Sanchez and Monzon were cited and released in the field.
