When the Hemet City Council called for a special meeting on this past Tuesday afternoon, the agenda called for 3 items: A, B, C all in executive session. 1 - Evaluate Performance, 2 - Fire personnel and 3 - seek a replacement.
After a lengthy closed session, the council meeting began at 7:15 pm. The invocation was given by the Interfaith Council’s Bill Heller with Pledge of Allegiance given by council member Linda Krupa.
Phil Ayala, Brian E. Hawkins, Crystal Ruiz, Cynthia Stroffolino, and Russ Utz are running for the three council seats. Ruiz and Utz are current council members trying to win another term.
Prior to the public city council meeting, there has been a closed work-study meeting where there is a discussion of specific items. With live-streaming, the public is mostly able to listen in.
