On October 8, 2021, at about 7:06 p.m., deputies assigned to the Perris Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 19600 block of Seaton Ave., Mead Valley. Upon arrival, deputies found a male victim on the property suffering from a gunshot wound. Shortly after, the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The area was secured as a crime scene and station investigators responded to begin the investigation. The Central Homicide Unit also responded and assumed the investigation.
On October 2, 2021 at 7:16 a.m., Jurupa Valley Station deputies responded to the 9700 block of Jurupa Rd., reference an unconscious subject. When deputies arrived, they located a deceased male in the parking lot of the location. The decedent had trauma to his body consistent with a homicide.

On September 13, 2021, deputies from the Jurupa Valley Station responded to the 4000 block of Riverview Drive to investigate a report of a shooting. When deputies arrived, they located an adult male, later identified as, Richard Allen Cervantes, a 39 year-old from Jurupa Valley, deceased at the scene.
