On Sunday, October 18, 2020, at 4:07 PM, deputies from the Colorado River Station responded to a call of a male deceased in an agricultural area near Kaiser Rd. and Oasis Rd. in the unincorporated area of Riverside County known as Desert Center. Upon arrival the deputies located a male deceased inside of a structure at the location.
A dog who bolted from her Riverside home after apparently being spooked by fireworks celebrating the Lakers’ championship was rescued after being trapped beneath the house for two days, officials said Wednesday.
On Sunday, October 11, 2020, at 2:57 A.M., members of the Moreno Valley Station’s Special Enforcement Team conducted an occupied vehicle check in the 24000 block of Sunnymead Boulevard, in the city of Moreno Valley. Deputies contacted, Michael Winns, a 29-year-old resident of Moreno Valley and documented criminal street gang member. Winns gave deputies consent to search his vehicle. A subsequent search of Winns’ vehicle revealed a loaded semi-automatic handgun underneath the driver’s seat.
On Saturday, October 10, 2020, at 2:32 A.M., members of the Moreno Valley Station’s Special Enforcement Team conducted a traffic stop in the 24000 block of Sunnymead Boulevard, in the city of Moreno Valley. Deputies contacted, Anthony Corniel, a 29-year-old resident of Moreno Valley and documented criminal street gang member. Upon contacting Corniel, deputies saw a loaded semi-automatic handgun in plain view on the passenger’s seat of the vehicle. A subsequent search of Corniel’s vehicle revealed numerous fake identification cards and altered disability checks.
In the beginning of October, deputies assigned to the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Stations Problem Oriented Policing Team received information regarding a possible illegal marijuana cultivation occurring within the City of Lake Elsinore, in the area known as Rosetta Canyon.
